Hechos, realidades y perspectivas

This document reviews different components of the discourses and narratives surrounding coal mining in Colombia. Step by step, it contrasts figures, reviews a large part of the enormous body of literature that has been written on the subject and analyses the prospects for coal mining. Beyond discourse and rhetoric, the paper sticks to empirical and scientific knowledge to analyse what are the facts and realities of large-scale coal mining in Colombia. Looking to the future, the document introduces the central points for an imminent energy transition to be fair and timely.
