Greek consultation on the lignite transition plan
From October 2 to November 10, 2020, the Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy ran a consultation on the “Master Plan for the Fair Development Transition (Master Plan) for the lignite areas of Western Macedonia and Megalopolis”. During this time, the public was invited to share their proposals for improvements to the plan. 85 comments were submitted from a range of different actors. Some of these comments were very in-depth and are available in full on the government website (in Greek, but translatable).
The Ministry stated that all comments were analyzed and considered, and that consultation input contributed substantially and constructively to the final plan.
