In December 2021, EnBW opened one of the largest EV charging stations in Europe. EnBW is Germany’s third largest energy company and has investments in both carbon intensive and renewable energy. The charge park is located near the Kamener Kreuz intersection, used by an estimated 160,000 cars every day. The charge park has 26 Alpitronic HYC300 Hyperchargers, each of which can charge two electric vehicles, each with up to 150 kW.

EnBW has made other significant investments in electric vehicle charging infrastructure with over 200,000 charging points across Europe.
