University of Ostrava in Moravia-Silesia (Czech Republic)
The ENET Centre at the Technical University of Ostrava in the Cazech Republic was founded in 2010 but has become increasingly important as the energy transition progresses. ENET stands for Energy Units for Utilization of Non-traditional Energy Sources. The Centre focuses specifically on research on renewables and their integration into all aspects of energy systems, including waste and alternative fuels. The ENET Centre is part of several large European, regional and nationally funded research projects focused on various aspects of renewable energy development and deployment.
