Investing in batteries and energy storage
Infrastructure for battery production and other energy storage facilities
The planning and construction of battery factories and other storage solutions is an adaptive coping strategy usually undertaken by governments, renewables companies, or automobile manufacturers. In general, these are batteries for electric cars, or electricity storage infrastructure. This strategy is usually an attempt to create new economies by developing new industries and associated employment.
Investment in batteries usually takes place from middle transition stages on, once it is clear that economies need to shift and that there is demand for storage.
