Just Transition Fund allocations
Government allocation of funds approved by the EU from the EU Just Transition Fund
Just Transition Fund allocations are a strategy undertaken by governments because they make final decisions about where funds will be allocated. However, they often do this with input from other societal sectors and plans must be approved by the EU. Allocations usually represent adaptive strategies but often seek to be transformative by supporting new economies, lives and livelihoods in different regions.
Just Transition Fund allocations are always linked to other coping strategies because the allocations are used to fund activities such as the retraining of workers, development of new economies, and the promotion of entrepreneurial activities.
